Membership Card We invite you to join or renew your membership in one of the categories below, and help the Club continue to provide valuable programs and resources to promote the challenging business of illustration your business.

Please also consider volunteering on one or more committees when you fill out the Membership Application. Remember: IC is run entirely by volunteers. Join us!

Active  ($125.00)
An individual who creates images in any medium for the purpose of selling them professionally as illustration.
Details

  • Active members receive all Club benefits, may vote and hold elective office.
  • Membership includes 1/4 page ad space in the IC Directory; up to three sample images on the IC Portfolios Section, plus all available IC discounts.
    (Opportunity to change website portfolio images up to 4 times per year)

Active/Joint  ($200.00)
A group discount is given to two or more artists (family members/studio/faculty), each of whom creates images in any medium for the purpose of selling them professionally as illustration.
Details

  • Husband/wife or sibling team may pay $200 to join as individual active members and receive all promotion benefits.
  • Two or more working artists in a studio or agency or on the faculty of an art school may also join at the rate of $100 each.

Associate  ($100.00)
An individual who is interested in or supports the business of illustration (receives no promotion benefits of Club membership).
Details

  • An allied professional (e.g., graphic designer, art director, artist's representative, freelance writer, photographer, etc.) who is interested in or supports the field of illustration (receives no promotion benefits of Club membership).
  • Associate members receive discounted rates for Club events such as lectures and shows.
  • Honorary Associate membership may be given to heads of school art departments or other allied professionals by decision of Board of Directors.
Associate members do not receive free ads in the IC Directory (although a listing of associate members may appear in the IC Directory).
Associate members do not get a page in the IC Portfolio Section.
Associate members are not eligible to vote or to hold elective office.

Corporate Sponsor  ($300.00)
A corporation/association/organization interested in or supporting the business of illustration (receives reduced promotion benefits of Club membership).
Details

  • Corporate sponsors receive discounted rates for club events such as lectures and shows.
  • Corporate sponsors are not eligible to vote or to hold elective office.
  • Corporate sponsors receive recognition for their contribution to the Club in the IC Directory.
  • Members of organizations may join above as individual Active Members ($125 fee) or as a group of two or more ($100 each) and receive all promotion benefits.

Student  ($40.00)
An individual currently enrolled full-time in an accredited communication arts program (receives no promotion benefits of Club membership; valid ID required).
Details

  • Student members receive discounted rates for club events such as lectures and shows.
  • Student members do not receive space in the IC Directory or on the IC web page.
  • Student members are not eligible to vote or hold elective office.
  • Students may join as active members ($125 fee) and receive all Club benefits.
